In muted, earthy desert colors, these Mexican jasper earrings feature hand cut, drop shaped tabs, scarab facers & deep red garnet. The dendritic jasper has lush shades of sandy orange & soft pinkish brown, set off by bold lines of dark brick red. The graceful tabs are faced with antiqued copper scarab charms, winging over the desert plain below. Oxidized sterling wire wrap binds rounds of deepest red garnet to the other elements & the earrings hang on hand formed ear wires of oxidized sterling.
The earrings measure 2.75" (6.98 cm) in total length, including their ear wires. In weight, they are 0.18 oz (per earring), or 5.1 grams....2 U.S. pennies weigh 5 grams.
