These elaborately detailed flower goddess earrings are one of our “Bisabuela” line…the word means “great grandmother” in Spanish & speaks to the Dia de los Muertos style of these sugar skull earrings. This pair is named “Xochiquetzal” after the ancient Aztec flower & fertility goddess. They feature turquoise colored magnesite skull beads, crowned with beautiful aqua & lilac colored glass blossoms, sky blue faceted crystal roundels and lots of antiqued copper & brass details. Finally, at the bottoms, we added solid copper discs that are reminiscent of Aztec calendars.
This is a fascinating article with many more details of Xochiquetzal!
These earrings measure a little over 2.5″ (6.35 cm) in total length, including their antiqued copper (lead & nickel free) lever back ear wires.
