A dramatic, long pendant, this Black Oak necklace features a hand sawn & etched copper metalwork focal with natural Japanese black coral. The copper focal is hand fabricated in the Elksong Jewelry studio...it starts with a hand drawn oak tree design, with it's mystical low-hanging crescent moon, painstakingly pierced & sawn out by hand (no automated equipment, jigs or laser cutters). The details of the the tree, trunk, leaves, etc. are brought out with acid etching. Creating an abstract hanger is a little branch of hand polished, natural black Japanese coral. The necklace length is created with darkly oxidized copper rolo chain spaced with oxidized copper wire wrapped links holding hand made black coral disc beads, faceted rondelles of rainforest jasper, vintage "moonstone" Czech glass beads, antiqued copper leaf caps & silver heishi.
This lush, nature inspired necklace measures 26" (66.04 cm) in total length, including it's handmade, oxidized copper wire wrapped hook & eye clasp. The focal measures about 1.5" (3.81 cm) in length by a little under 1.25" (3.17 cm) in width.
