Like the power necklace of some ancient desert shaman, this mixed material assemblage necklace is full of unique & wondrous tidbits. First, a center ring of pale green Burmese jade is set with a silvery spiked disc (re-purposed hardware) which is oxidized copper wire wrapped in place. A handmade, oxidized & stamped copper bail ring is attached at the top & below, a fringe of delightful pieces. There's carved & stained bone beads, turquoise & carnelian shards, amber nugget & carnelian round, an old Navajo made sterling button, ethnic metal beads & drops, a weird little springy piece (from the stem of a car tire) and copper twist rings & cylinder bead.
The necklace section has several oxidized copper wire wrapped links holding an abstract mix of carved bone cylinders, handmade etched glass & stone beads, amber, carnelian, black coral, green opal & turquoise beads and mixed metal beads. These links attach to lengths of woven cotton cord & the necklace closes with a handmade, oxidized copper toggle clasp.
In length, this unique necklace is 23.5" (59.69 cm) total, including the toggle clasp. The focal section is about 5" (12.7 cm) in total length, including the bail ring.
