Wonderfully whimsical & artsy, these green flame worked glass bead earrings feature our own handmade art beads. First, there's beads of lush green "mystery" glass, in a shade that's reminiscent of ripe kiwi fruit, etched to a soft, velvety finish. I say mystery glass, as I work with a lot of stained glass scrap & sometimes there's old glass which I can't identify.
Next, built up Effetre glass beads that start with a rich jade green. Layers of dotting changes the initial solid color to a convoluted mix, very organic. The last dots, in a shade of limey, citrus green, are left raised, for texture.
At the tops are round gemstone beads of peridot & at the bottoms, apatite. All the beads are set on our own handmade, oxidized copper ball pins & hang from hand formed, oxidized sterling ear wires.
These funky-fun earrings measure just over 1.75" (4.44 cm) in total length, including their ear wires.
We create the lampwork beads in our jewelry by hand, one at a time, in our studio. Each bead or sculpture is properly kiln-annealed, in order to give them strength & durability. The beads are thoroughly cleaned, checked for flaws & ready for you to enjoy!
