The focal of this gorgeous, Southwest color gemstone necklace is completely hand fabricated in our studio. The textured & oxidized sterling silver setting holds a trio of hand cut gem cabochons in a vibrant color scheme. At the top, a diamond cut cab of Bisbee turquoise. Next, a pear shape of lush green variscite and finally, a round of silky, reddish-orange spiny oyster shell.
The focal is set on the necklace with double sterling "snail bails". A short beaded section holds turquoise & spiny oyster shell beads, with silver Kenyan heishi. The length of the necklace is created with woven tiny glass seed beads, in a spiral rope pattern. The seed bead colors mimic the color of the gemstone cabochons & pull that color through the entire necklace. Spacing the rope are little beaded sections with blue & greenish turquoise and bamboo coral.
This distinctive, one of a kind necklace measures just under 19" (48.26 cm) in total length, including it's handmade, hammered sterling toggle clasp. The focal measures 2.5" (6.35 cm) in length, including the bails.
