A lushly detailed & elegant sterling wire wrap tree & genuine sea glass necklace, cool greens & silver. The necklace starts with an unusually textured piece of white, Maine coast sea glass...the glass is a back drop to a sweeping, oxidized sterling wire wrap tree, "rooted" on a crystal of green tourmaline. Rolling "waves" of oxidized sterling wire wrap flow behind the tree. From the bottom of the focal, a triple fringe of linked beads features...an oval, faceted deep bead of toumaline, an oval, milky green prehnite bead, large & small jade rounds, blackish green tourmaline slices, an old peridot-green glass tear drop, silver heishi, caps & spacers, shell heishi & finally, a sterling bound gold ring cowrie shell.
The necklace is created with section of intricately woven, spiraling glass seed beads, in deep green & silver. Matte finish peridot-green glass rounds are randomly set through the weave & sterling and cast pewter caps finish the ends. Sterling wire wrap links with green jade rounds attach the woven sections to both the focal & to oxidized sterling chain extenders at the back.
The necklace measures slightly under 20" (50.80 cm) in total length, including it's handmade, oxidized sterling toggle clasp. The focal section measures about 3" (7.62 cm) in length, from the top of the sea glass/wire wrap piece, to the bottom of the fringe dangles.
