A sophisticated, short length necklace with hand cut turritella agate & sterling wire wrap. Elegant black & silver, perfect for a special evening! The necklace starts with a rectangular, beveled edge piece of turritella (snail fossil) agate stone, created in the Elksong studio. The polished stone is framed in an intricate woven wrap of oxidized sterling wire, including it's bail. The back has just as much attention to detail & design & could actually be worn with either side facing out.
The focal piece is then set on a strung bead necklace which includes rounds of Tibetan agate, ovals of faceted labradorite, black Baltic amber nuggets, faceted glass discs & more, cylindrical labradorite beads. Spacing the elegant gemstone & glass beads are Bali & Thai style silver over pewter daisy spacers, heishi & barrel beads.
This unique necklace measures about 17.25" (43.81 cm) in total length, including it's handmade, oxdized sterling toggle clasp. The focal measures a little under 2" (5.08 cm) in length, including it's bail, by .75" (1.90 cm) in width.
